Two shows are in development; ‘Maquillage’ and ‘Let’s Kill Fame’.
Maquillage is an a show about trying to be a good boy when you’re bad at being boy in the first place. Trying to imbue the qualities of make-up, it takes on a tone of self-abuse, gender displacement, the real meaning of androgyny and the role of men in today’s society.
Let’s Kill Fame is a cabaret about the national obsession with fame and asks audiences to put an end to it. Using music, dance and darker elements of spoken word, this is the first full length song and dance Astariel has made about anything.
Also, Astariel is preparing to assist the Canadian performance artist Alexis O’ Hara in March and will be in residency in Montreal for 2 weeks at the beginning of March
